Think for a minute. . .Do the wealthy rely on Medicare and Social Security for their economic survival? Uh, no. WE need those programs, but they certainly don't. The real story here is the massive transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich, in the disguise of fiscal responsibility. We're going to pay for tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans by cutting programs that benefit the poor and the middle class.
trickledown done trickled out, with large companys & the banks.

With All of us baby boomers now starting to retire I've heard the money now won't last beyond 2014 !
"money won't last past 2014" 'i'm assuming 'U' mean SS? If the Health Care bill doesn't get stopped or amended 'U' may be right. If the government defaults on their loans or goes from a 'triple A rating' what we get won't be worth anything anyway.
Scary thought ..isn't it !
I hate raising potatoes! & greenbeans
...and turnips ,tomatoes, and squash !
3 things 'i' raise every year
turnips for my Aunt Irene
tomatoes to make home made catsup
squash cause my wife tells me too
Nothing could be finer than a good ol bowl of turnip stew !
don't know about that, I can just barely stand to eat them cooked-and I cann't stand the smell of them cooking/.
Grew up on the stuff....just use to it !
Ours always had potato's and dumplings in it also !
OK, that's what my Aunt Irene said also, put some potatoes in it to make it good - got ya!
Aunt Irene knows what's good too !!! ::;:
