....if you found out that you were adopted?
Ha! Ha!

Mr T

It has been strange for my husband (Hammondjam on Martha) but he didn't find out until he was 40.  A former neighbor told him.  His father refused to discuss it, died without discussing it, and left no information.

In one way, it's a mystery that will probably never be solved and I will be curious about it most likely for the rest of my life. In another way, it's total freedom from having an ethnicity or culture to live up to. I can be "any man" without the stereotypical restraints and/or responsibilities that some put on themselves. Anybody can be part of my tribe.

The people that raised me WERE my parents. They didn't get that title because of some genetically guided cell division. They got it by being there and doing what was necessary to raise me to be ready to accept the challenges of adulthood. I can't ask for more. As far as my bio parents go, I don't know them or their particular story but they obviously weren't ready or willing to be parents so I appreciate them for giving me up to someone that was.

??? I sometimes have wondered if I was adopted. I think I've even told a few I had been...But the truth is I wasn't and I can't hide that fact. I look just like my Mom and act like my Dad.
