Anyone know How to Care for Cowboy Boots? Do they need a special application for waterproofing them? Any other tips?

Anyone out there wear cowboy boots?

Well not much info to go on here.  Your high quality boot / shoe store should have some very highly recommended leather treatments (if your boots are leather) if they are suede leather you definitely need to treat them to protect them from the elements as you wear them (there is an excellent spray for suede available at most shoe stores) It will help shed water when it rains and make it easier to remove loose dust etc.

Any leather product should periodically be treated to help maintain it's suppleness if it still has fur it will help keep the fur from coming out. Be careful to get a product that will not discolor your leather, some products will darken the leather (this is not a problem with some leather but if you have a light color leather, you may wish it to remain as close to the original color as possible)

It is always best to check with a knowledgeable person at your local boot / shoe store for proper care and maintenance of your leather products.
