INDIANAPOLIS (April 29, 2010) - Just Packaging Indianapolis, Inc., a manufacturer of corrugated packaging, announced today that it will site its newest manufacturing center here, creating up to 30 new jobs by 2012.

The company, which manufactures corrugated products for customers in a variety of industries, will invest more than $1.9 million to lease and equip an existing 60,000 square-foot facility on the city's east side.

"Just Packaging is a homegrown Indiana company that is finding a way to grow through hard work and a quality product," said Mitch Roob, Secretary of Commerce and chief executive officer of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. "We're glad that they picked Indiana as the best fit for new operations as they expand their geographical reach."

Just Packaging Inc., parent company of Just Packaging Indianapolis, Inc., currently employs 40 employees at its headquarters in New Carlisle, Ind. The company plans to begin hiring manufacturing employees immediately as operations commence at the Indianapolis facility over the next few weeks.

"We are exceptionally grateful for the support and assistance from the IEDC in our efforts to expand our business and diversify our customer base," said Monty Warrick, president of Just Packaging Inc.  "It became very clear to us that locating our operations in Marion County was the right direction for Just Packaging, and we look forward to a great relationship with the local community."

Founded in 1999, Just Packaging supplies customers throughout Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Illinois. The new facility will allow the company to more efficiently serve its growing customer base in central and southern Indiana, southern Ohio, northern Kentucky, and eastern Illinois.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered Just Packaging Indianapolis, Inc. up to $160,000 in performance-based tax credits based on the company's job creation plans. The city of Indianapolis will provide additional property tax abatement at the request of Indianapolis Economic Development, Inc.

"Just Packaging's decision to expand in Indianapolis and provide quality jobs increases economic growth here in Marion County. Our central location and experienced labor pool continue to make good business sense for Just Packaging and hundreds of other companies that need to distribute product quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively throughout the Midwest and beyond," said Mayor Greg Ballard. "We welcome their investment and thank them for choosing to do business in Indianapolis."

Just Packaging's announced expansion comes just more than a month after cloud computing service provider, BlueLock LLC announced it would invest more than $35.6 million to expand its headquarters here, creating up to 118 jobs by 2014.
