The Field

I've been reading a couple of books; The Field and The Intention Experiment, both by Lynne McTaggart. These books involve quantum physics, physics, and a thing called the Zero Point Field.

McTaggart has done a masterful job of taking frontier scientists research, experiments, and conclusions, and melding them together into something that rings more than a bit true for me personally. These scientists work has not often been put together, in fact for many of them their work seriously isolates them from each other, or has until this point.

The existence of the zero point field has been known, proven, and acknowledged by science and mathematics for decades. In fact within the physics world it is represented by the pesky "leftovers" often arrived at within complex mathematical equations and theories, and traditionally these leftover numbers have been "normalized"; that is dropped off in an acknowledgement of the zero point field, its existence, and sciences inability to explain it. Standard practice in physics / quantum physics.

During some of the research done by several of these scientists, one of the areas delved into was photons; a unit of light emitted by atoms, molecules, and other components of mass. In fact, the measurement of photons is in part one of the means by which astronomists are able to measure distant stars, galaxies, etc., and arrive at an educated guesstimate surrounding the age of the target, as well as distance and other conclusions.

During these studies it was discovered that there is also an audible frequency at which this "light" can be heard by sophisticated listening devices. And it was also discovered that even human beings are composed of this same energy and frequency emitting mass, and also produce photons, or light.

Also during some of this research it was theorized that at the molecular level and below, it seems that the zero point field is utilized as a means of communication. This was proven by the fact that atoms spinning within their own "world" if you will, are synchronized; to the point that if you disturb the rotation of one atom then instantaneously the atom(s) next to it will assume the new rotation. Moreover, once two or more atoms become synchronized, then they forever retain this property, no matter how distant from each other they are.

In other words, you can take two atoms and separate them by hundreds of miles, thousands of miles, in fact half way around the world or even farther, and if you disturb one you instantly disturb both. They remain in synchronicity no matter what. This proves a couple of things. First; that they are utilizing the ZPF to communicate, and secondly that this communication within the ZPF is faster than the speed of light; something Newton's laws says does not exist!

There is a wealth of information in this book and hundreds of experiments are detailed in as close to layman's terms as possible; including documented remote viewing, as well as humanity's utilization of the ZPF despite the fact that the majority of the population do not even know it exists.
It explains many of the paranormal abilities of human beings, as well as validates the "we're all connected" phrase beyond its original intent.

Among the experiments is a series undertaken by a known expert in polygraph examination. This man one day decided to hook up his polygraph to a plant to measure its reaction to being watered, and to see how long it took the water to reach the highest leaves of the plant. (Since polygraphs measure the moisture levels at the surface of the skin, or in this case the leaf, in part).

He hooked up the sensor to one of the highest leaves and watered the plant, but the polygraph continued to flat line for a very long time afterwards. (He had failed to take into account the waxy material between each cell of the plant and the fact it served to insulate the moisture from the leaf surface). Frustrated, he thought; well let's see how the plant reacts to me burning one of its leaves. No sooner had he thought this when the polygraph spiked to its limit and stayed there for about 5 minutes. Once it normalized again, he left the office to go to his secretary's desk to get a book of matches, and when he came back with them the graph had spiked again.

The above set off a large series of controlled experiments that utilized strict scientific protocol in their execution, including automation, and each time the results were the very same; the plant reacted to just the thought of initiating a harmful action to it. Carrying this even further, the scientists hooked up plants to the machines and placed brine shrimp into a container, and subsequently poured boiling water onto them, killing them all. Each plant reacted instantly to the intention as well as the action, despite the fact that none of them were physically in danger. They heard the death of the brine shrimp.

There is a lot more and I hope that some of you might read this book and its follow-up, the Intention Experiment. I believe the conclusions it draws are worth exploring and discussing. It has provided me with enough to cause me to reconsider some of my perspectives on life, its origins, and the universe.

oh my gosh

over my head and fascinating at the same time.  I'm overwhelmed by the plants' reactions there at the end...

There are several beliefs around the world that talk of the "spirit" or "energy" of all things. Humans, animals, plants, rocks and even machines. The Canadian indigenous tribes called it "manitou". In this belief, we are ALL connected with everything. ZPF sounds like it could be along those lines. This could explain a lot of strange occurances in my life and in stories I've heard. For instance, I have always been able to heal extaordinarily fast and I've been tested for my level of bioelectrical current and it's always 60 to 80% higher than others.

To me, religion often makes natural things less powerful than they are to make room for a spiritual benefactor. Wouldn't it be great if we are ALL God?

that's what the reluctant messenger says. We are all to aspire to our Godness. Seems like heresy or blasphemy considering my protestant background! However, i'm on such a search... I KNOW Christianity was NOT supposed to be what it has become. I don't know why i believe that, but i do. Jesus brought a message of love and so many ppl are anything but loving to one another!

Interesting concept there. . . I suspect as we each reach our expiration date we will find that humankind's  concept of "god" is far and away the greatest story ever sold, and your concept may be a lot closer to the reality of things than anyone realizes.

I truly believe that everything in the universe is connected, and the thing science is calling the ZPF is just the very tip of the iceburg.

Society around the world has conditioned us to ignore that which would enable us to progress as a species; our spiritual being. In doing so we have placed a governor upon our intellect and crippled ourselves in the process.  ::O:

I agree with this!

Moreover, I would suggest that Jesus was the original hippie!

yes, and then some. *huge sigh* we are all one. All part of the all. I wish i could behave this way at all times. Or... I truly wish i were more Christ like.

You only know of Christ, what those in control of the information allowed you to know. The rest of it was edited for content. . .
